Alkane NMR

CH₃: 0.7-1.3 ppm

CH₂: 1.2-1.4 ppm, in long chains these may overlap into one unresolvable group.

CH: 1.4-1.7 ppm

-CH-CH-:³J = 7-8 hz

Shown above, the CH₃ region can overlap slightly with CH₂ region, but this is not the case for CH and CH₂.

The³J of aliphatic protons are 7-8 hz.
